^ a lawyer won't help. the only way she could get control of the estate would be to prove that her sister is mishandling funds (stealing) or assets. not only is that hard to prove but her sister can "gift" herself 10,000 a year tax free as well as paying herself to be the executor (i think it can't excede 3% but i am not sure) so really there is nothing legally that can be done about it. i would think the real thing to ask yourself if why your mother chose her and not you....maybe the drunk was the best choice after all lol!

My sister is the same, except she is a Opiates Addict, she would steal my father's pills, then blame it on her husband. Why he put her in charge I'll never understand, unless it's because I have Multiple Sclerosis and still gave up a large part of my life to assist in my mom's care and well being (Alzheimer's)in the last 6 month's before he died, and their life long lawyer/friend told me there is nothing I can do. So all I do now is PRAY that she dies a HORRIBLE death!
