You'll be miserable.You'll see its not worth it.I was married to someone who treated me terribly, but I was young and stupid and didn't want to end my marriage...I wasn't alone but I sure as hell was miserable

Please do not do this ... if you date or marry someone SOLELY so you won't wind up alone... you WILL wind up alone... plus there is a high likelihood you'll be used and abused, financially and emotionally, in ways you would now find unimaginable. And yes, viewed in the context of one life alone rather than over several lifetimes, life IS unfair. Those of us who are alone can make our best efforts to put ourselves out there, but in the meantime we must deal as best we can. You CAN manage this.
