I have some friends who have a summer place in this hoity-toity beach town on Long Island. We went to a gay resort called Fire Island for a day, and the men there don't just "check you out!" They whistle at you, make catcalls, and if you're shopping, they rub against you, and try to pinch you and feel you up. In a perverse way, it was sort of flattering at the time, and it gave a bird's eye view of what women experience every day!
