Take it from experience - the small-town "Mayberry" life that many people long for is a myth. It never existed, and still doesn't. People in small towns are usually bitter and very small-minded. Happiness is an attitude. Don't expect a place to give it to you.

I DO live in a small, seaside town with just my animals and I LOVE IT!! It's so very peaceful and beautiful here. My time spent playing with my dog on the beach is worth more than all the money in the world!
