I havent beeen on welfare but I know those who are... You ll see more getting on it as people lose their jobs... In our state they dont give out food stamps anymore... its a card like a debit card and no one can tell that it is from welfare... You need to think of your kids well being and having healthy food over your pride tho... So sorry to hear this has happened to you... I cant stand jerks who dont even care about their kids... go after him for child support!!! Its the kids rights!!
