When you give birth you become a mother. A mother for life. I don't know why you were a bad mother, but it is better late than never to apologize and work at becoming better. There after your actions will be louder than words. Prove to them and yourself you are truly sorry and working on better.

We ALL make mistakes. I used to be so pissed at my Mom for the way I was raised but then when I grew up and realized how SHE was raised I know it's not her fault. She did the best she could. I was a better mother than her and my kids will be better parents to their kids. Say you're sorry to your kids and treat them better from now on. That's all you can do.
