Makes a lot of sense to put it on your credit card at 25% interest.

I've seen almost the same post here a while back. It was the one where he was unemployed and was giving an extra $75 to his ex-wife - 1/2 of his weekly unemployment check etc. etc.

i would be pissed too. unless it was agreed upon that that was where the extra $ was going to go, then he had no right to do it w/o talking to her about it first. if i did something like that and my husband blew it on our own kids, and our budget was already too tight, i'd still be pissed. it has nothing to do w/ what he blew it on, just the fact that he went out and blew it without there being an agreement between the two of them. sounds like a trust issue.

Are the kids benefitting from it or is she using it for her own frills? I can see him wanting his kids to be better off, but if she is just using it as her mad money, Grab his balls and squeeze hard untill he agrees to reconsider.

Well I guess you had better start with the divorce proceedings, maybe there was a reason he was divorced in the first place.

Not to mention that you are most likely paying more in interest using that credit card than with the actual car loan. Hmmm, is there any positive that was supposed to come out of that?
