I hate being fat. Every day I look at my food and thing 'Don't eat this' and almost every time I eat I think about stopping eating altogether.

you need counseling, you sound like a food addict. it is a very real problem that a lot of people struggle with. until you deal with the reasons why you over-eat your addiction to food will control your life. good luck!

do something about it. Exercise more and eat less, eat healthy. Its a slow progress. Self motivation is the biggest tripper upper.

My doctor gave me the best diet advice I've ever heard and it works. You can eat anything you want as long as you eat in moderation. Take all the food you want on your plate, than put one third to one half of it back, and stick to it.

^god you are dumb, it is not about "eating less" and "exercising more"....it's about fixing the underlying emotional and behavioral addictions that lead a person to gorge themselves! how can a totally depressed and unhappy person just "change" a behavior when they were never taught how to do it? obviously this poster can't do it because her idea of fixing things is to just stop eating....like that will work! she needs to join over eaters anonymous where she can find support and learn HOW to eat healthy and exercise while at the same time dealing with all the emotional baggage that triggers her eating disorder. i hate it when skinny people think they know how to fix a fat person....unless you have walked a mile in their shoes shut up! and yes, i have lost over a 100 pounds and have kept it off for 4 years....don't kid yourself, exercise and eating right is the easy part!!!

ok, I will give you that however that can be applied to absolutely everything we do. I cant think of one thing we dont do without it being affected by our psyche. However some of us just have a genuine passion for good living, good food, and good sex--- all which can sometimes be effected by our emotions--- can also affect our emotions. Your either a trainwreck or your not. Figure it out and then fix it.

Instead of spending big bucks at a gym, I suggest you spend the same money on a therapist. Learn to love yourself. Then, when you have regained some confidence, you will see that you may lose weight, or not, but at least you'll be happier in your own skin. And btw, many men genuinely adore BBW

It would be easier for everyone to lose weight, kick smoking ect. if we were nicer to each other. It wasn't until 7th grade that I really started gaining weight, I got teased, harrassed and beaten in school because I wasn't cool enough. I came from a Christian school where I was very sheltered, and it was like going from Sunday school to prison. That's when I got fat. What right does anyone have to do that to a child? So what if my only enjoyment was getting a candybar and hiding in the furnace room? It took me 10 years to lose the 100 lbs I gained. I still carry all that baggage though.

Stop complaining about it and do something about it. Eat less calories. Get up and exercise. And not enough time is not an excuse. You can do it. Take control of your life. Dont let it control you!

^2 I concur completely I believe in owning your responsibility, your issues and your failures and I dont believe in placing blame. Fat or skinny isnt the issue but laziness in general.

I was married to someone like you-always complaining about how you hate being addicted to food. The truth is, you obviously don't since you still have the problem. You just love whining to everyone else in hopes that someone will give you a magic pill so you can lose weight the easy way since you have no will power and are lazy. Get over it! I have no sympothy for you...nor do other people because we can see right through your bs.

^wow, you sound like a really bitter divorced man...are you sure it was her weight that was the issue or was it her lack of satisfaction with your tiny little penis? either way i find it amazing someone actually wanted marry you in the first place much less to FuCk you!!!

Truth is yes there is Addiction invovled, and if you have ever been addicted to soemthing ANYTHING it's all the same, hard to kick it. Yes you have to want want it Soo bad but soemtimes you need more than that to succeed, the best thing is don't give up just do it everyday, even if it's every other day that you eat healthy and exercise keep getting back on the wagon ya know. What I don't understand is how come more people are simpathetic to anorexics and bulemics and not to obese people...they all have a problem and food or lack of it is the remdy for them. But yet people feel more compassion for a skinny dieing woman than an obese dieing woman? I really don't get how you pick and choose like that?

^yep. Have a bowl of sauerkraut after every meal. And figure out the origin of your guilt. 90% of fat people are carrying a lot of guilt.

2^ i will give you that but in a society of "its somebody elses fault not mine--- most people will never face the root of their poblems because they are too lazy--- it is so much easier to shove the cheeseburger in than to deal with real issue or even just to eat healthy. People are lazy-- Lazy people will get fat.

When you are secure with your own mortality, you can eat, drink, smoke, etc. as much as you want. The older you get, the easier it is to realize this. All it takes is one wetback who can't read a stop sign while driving, and it's all over.

^3 i also agree with you in the respect that many overweight people do not take personal responsibility for themselves...they are also setting themselves up for failure by not getting help for their disorder! laziness does not however just affect fat people...it affects everyone in this society. we have lost touch with how much work it takes to really live....i know just as many "thin" people who lead very unhealthy lifestyles so a persons weight does not dictate that behavior! no one will do the work for you whether you are a heroin addict or a food addict. but it's also more socially acceptable to be a heroin addict because it's considered a real disease....unlike being fat which is considered a lifestyle choice...yet a heroin user chooses that lifestyle so what's the difference? there is none. obese people should have access to rehab the same as any addict!!!

I just started the 1000 calorie a day mentality diet. I don't count and measure and all that stuff, I just kinda keep track of it in my head and keep reminding myself that I wanna stay under 1000. It's easy, like calculating how many dollars I have left in my pockets without looking. It's not 100 percent accurate, but it sure beats the eat-food free for all I did go thru everyday. Now at least I am "consious" of my eating. That helps a lot.

^that is a starvation diet and will only hurt your metabolism in the long wrong...after your body eats all your muscle you will be left with all fat and no muscle to help burn it!

6^ i never "excused" anyone, i was talking about getting to the real root of the problem. i of all people am very aware of personal accountability and what it takes to challenge myself and to learn healthy coping skill....instead of a cheeseburger when i feel upset, i go for a long walk with my dogs for instance. but until you have gained an awareness and LEARN how to make the changes it will be a struggle most people will lose weight AND KEEP IT OFF. if you really want to change your life you need to accept what made you who you are! food is addictive to some people. if you are naturally thin you may not understand how someone could be addicted to food...unlike other addictions you just can't "quit" eating. you have to learn how to MANAGE your diet and to learn your triggers. and for the person who asked if i had extra skin i am happy to answer you honestly. YES I DO, but i also have excellent blood pressure, blood sugar and cholesterol levels so i am thankful to be in a body that is functioning normally. not everyone is so lucky!
