Get a hobby, go out with other people, don't make yourself easily available to him, pretend you don't care and that you just enjoy him. He will come around quickly if he's going to at all. He will think he's losing you and he will either let it happen, or do everything to keep you. Just don't mention this topic to him except to say that you are tired of being lonely.
