That may seem effective for addressing your own emotional pains however it is not healthy and does not induce emotional healing. Find help.

I used to do the same thing. Really the only help I found was that you can force the emotional pain back in different ways that aren't so obvious, but just as effective. I mastrabate everyday, run, and overwork everything from the job to the cleanliness of the house. If that's not retaliating against your own body enough, then there is always not eating for three days until you get the little starry things when you stand up, working more jobs than is humanly possible, and going out in public when you feel so ugly people might throw things at you. HaHa is that helpfull? I have found that not only can you treat yourself as poorly as everyone else does, but you can actually benefit from it by losing weight, gaining $, and possibly falling asleep behind the wheel and solving everything at once!

Cutting is MUCH more common than anyone seems to realize. It stands for alot of things. Its control over something, when you feel you cant control anything else in life. Its self inflicted punishment for some that feel they deserve it. Its a way to feel something other than numbness. And its a way to feel something other than the emotional pain youre dealing with. So in other words its a coping skill. Not all cutters are suicidal. Some are. Some just use it as a tool to cope with things that they cant handle otherwise. It is a good idea to speak to a counselor to try to find other coping skills. But its very real. And spreading.
