Don't beat yourself up over it. I have friends that are in good bands, having a good time yet I have more talent, better gear, etc. but I just can't find a decent band to be in. I envy those guys. I had to realize that I have a good job, a loving wife, and a good home. I'm at least proud of that. I'm 35 now and am getting too old to play bars for a bunch of drunks. Just do this for you.
