Did you tell them that? I think it is extremly important for parents or adults or take responsibilty and say sorry sincerly when it's due. especially to our kids which most parents never do. I have NEVER in 27 yrs of my life heard my mother say she was sorry even though I knew she was i'd still be nice to hear it. I will do this for my kids.

Forgive yourself. You made a bad mistake but you can make it right and help this person and yourself to heal. Tell them what you have said here. Apologize and then hear their pain and acknowledge it. You can do this.

You gotta put your...past behind you. Tell your child and ask for forgiveness and then let it go. In that moment you will both experience complete stillness and presence. Time will be gone and you will find shared being. This is what will bring the tears and greater awareness and consciousness. It is the purpose of life. Greater consciousness and growth. You've already started the process by voicing this.
