What is at an element's core? Electrons, neutrons, neutrinos, etc. And when they break down, they are shifted into other atoms to make new elements. No energy in the universe is ever lost or gained, just transformed into other forms. Didn't you people ever take middle school science?

Actually, no... the sun is composed of numerous elements, notably hydrogen and helium. When it eventually goes nova, there will be billions of tons of material thrown out into the galaxy. Definitely much more than "just energy". This is what happens when New Age crackpots try to think.
