Sadly, this happens all the time. My ex-best friend's g-friend was so jealous that she'd never had a friendship like ours that she systematically destroyed it with flat-out lies, which my friend believed, even though she knew me better than anyone and I had been a loyal friend to her for several years. Sex makes people do really stupid things. The thing is I thought i would miss her, but honestly i don't, as I've come to realize that she wasn't really worth my time or energy anyway. Perhaps someday you'll reach the same conclusion (i.e., Rejection truly is God's Protection). Good luck!
