Honestly, i Wish i could believe in God, as it would be easier to think there is more to all this. Alas, i cannot, and i refuse to "fake it" for anyone. That said, I think Many "new" atheists have been so all along, it's just easier to keep quiet and avoid all the judgments, etc. But as Christians persist in trying to shove Their beliefs down everyone else's throat, the time has come to Speak Up, and so i shall.

Actually, religion is not a hoax. To be a hoax would imply the existence of a massive conspiracy, which doesn't exist. Religion is an attempt, though flawed, to understand life and reality. Its adherents are genuine, honest people for the most part. Many religious LEADERS are corrupt and evil, but there is no conspiracy. Just a massive delusion.

^2 up - actually, the followers of Jesus are the ones that today are finding out that the hunger remains. People are leaving Christianity in massive droves, because the religion of Jesus has been hijacked by Christianity. What Jesus believed was nowhere similar to what modern Christianity teaches.

Some of the most shady business owners use christian based company as their platform. My favorite is go out sin and be absolved, how about just being of moral character to begin with? Religion has always been a way to control the masses a way to give people of desperation to believe there is some hope. Well there is it comes from within yourselves. I am a spiritual person, I have a sixth sense but a priest once told me to pray for understanding, I did I prayed he would understand.
