My dad was like that- he actually got my mom pregnant with a boy but got in an argument with her and nocked her down the stairs. Thank God- he would have ignored us 4 girls and ruined the boy if my brother would have made it. Did an ok job as a dad, either really good or horrific, but he was not distracted by living through his son. He would have said the same thing if he knew we would not know. And the daddy issues I have are mild compared to my sister who was first child to a first child...She was more manly than most men....but not gay. She has been married 7 times.
