It never occured to me that we should be made to feel badly or ashamed of us... Why would it occur to you? Im better than this, if you can't respect me. I will.

translation: you don't have a conscious and neither do I and since we are the same, that makes it all ok.

translation: You two are gay and it's natural for you and you thought it was for your partner but now you see that they were living in guilt and it hurts you. You're right, respect yourself and drop the lover until they can accept themselves for who they are. If its not that, then you guys are an interracial couple..

Its really painful, I am a gay woman. I thought my partner was out but when I saw her with friends after dating two months she did not introduce me as her gf! Just s friend!

Does she acknowledge her sexuality at all? If she does, she may just not have let her friends now how serious the two of you are. Which case, it would still suck because 2 months and still-- but not suck as bad as trying to deny what she is and what you are based on your sexualities. If you don't think that she is acknowledging it, the best thing to do is respect yourself and move on. If she's not out, there's nothing you can do to make her be. She has to come out when she's ready....

(cont) My ex tried to out me when I wasn't ready by purposely holding my hand for show when we were in public. But that made me despise her for not allowing me to deal with my own feelings. Also she dumped me afterwards. Eventually, we all come out, we just have to evaluate how we will deal if and when everyone we know and love shuts us out because of it. Once we figure that out, we come out and usually it isn't as bad as we expected. But bottom line, you have to back away and give her time...

(cont.) Don't look at it like she's ashamed of you, she just wants to make sure you're worth coming out for. We all know that is pandoras box. Wouldn't want you to dump her after she's come out for you. ALSO I know that you probably dont want to wait for her to come to terms, you want someone who will already feel natural and never have thought anything bad about it. But, those people are few and far between. Almost everyone has been exposed to gay hate in some form and don't want to become a victim. Most people take that into consideration. Good luck. Betty G.
