my parents do that to but with cats. they think of them as my little brothers or sisters. personally i dont care because i treat them like that. i fight with them and play with them just like i did my real little brother. i guess it just depends on the person

OMG, My inlaws have 7 dogs and it is the same. We dont visit because the dogs wont even let you have a space on the couch and the inlaws get upset when you get the dogs to move! They growl at my little girls and have bit them but do you think for once they might keep them outside just while we visit briefly...not a chance. That would be cruel....well I hope they enjoy their life with the dogs cause we will no longer go there.

Find another way to see your parents... meet them at Denny's. They have a right to love their animal friends and you have a right to visit with your parents without being forced to join the pack. Killing the dogs won't solve anything... it will make things worse. Your parents will know you did it.

To all who thought I meant to kill my parents.... Whats wrong with you?Ive decided to try the "meet at Dennys" approach. Thank you for that. If that doesn't work, Ill feed them a pound of chocolate apiece.They have 5 beautiful grandchildren who live within a mile of their house. they shouldn't need to replace anything.

People who keep lots of dogs are usually trying to replace something. In this case, it's probably the loss of their own married relationship. If there are tons of dogs around, you don't have to listen to the stinging silence. Understand that the dogs are a symptom of their dysfunction.
