2^ I have this obsession with trying to turn those mean, hatefilled people into something more productive and kind. I know it's stupid but I just can't accept the ugly, nasty side of humanity. As a young man I was quite an idealist and as I grew older I realized that nothing changes. The Ghengis Khans still exist, the Hitlers still develop and the Ted Bundy's still are born. The people here who share their basest characters still shock me and I want desperately to change the human character. WE are the problem. WE can change the world. WE must do something to make this place better. This is just one small place to start and I'm doing all I can to spread the word. To Nikodemus 4 up. Okay, that's cool, and thank you for answering my questions seriously. For the past year or so, I have worked counselling abused women, and partners of addiction. Although I will never tell them this, this is how I feel: This site is full of angry damaged people, including myself. I sometimes find myself, pissed off at the world, because I have always lived my life as a good, decent, person, but still have had a shitty, awful life. Sometimes, living the good life, and following the golden rule, just is not enough. Some people's lives just don't work out. This is where the anger and hatred come in, and I don't believe that there is anything that we can do to change that. Bless you for trying, though.

^ I think we probably share much of the same feelings and disappointments. I have often felt there is a cosmic conspiracy working against me in life, then I look around and realize I have it pretty good. Not what I planned and certainly not what I dreamed but still "good" and successful to a point. There is so much pain and inequity in life that it is hard to keep perspective and relish that part of our lives that is good and happy and worthwhile. You are right about this site but I think its mostly cries for help. No one wants to be angry and ugly, but life deals us such bad hands that sometimes it's impossible to feel any other way. The main reason for all this is the nuerotic society that man has built. We do not live as we should. We are not in harmony with the earth and that which is natural. Greed, power, the need to control others is at the heart of our problems and the nature of man. It will take another 500 generations of evolution to make a difference and we can't predict that our evolution will be for the better, so far it's not.
