Yep. Same thing happened to me. I thought that he was my other half, and we married after only three months. Worst mistake I ever made, and one that nearly ended up killing me. Take. Your. Time. There is no rush, and if he is truly the man that you think he is, he will be willing to give you that time. Get to know each other WELL. Just be aware, that a lot of men who later turn out to be abusive, will sweep you off your feet into a whirlwind romance, and talk you into a fast commitment. Soon after, you will see their true colors, and those are some ugly colors. Just be careful, and go slow. It may seem terribly romantic, but in the end, it's just not worth it. Slow down.

| DO A BACKGROUND CHECK. Look at his driver's license, don't accept his word. Write down his license plate, see who its registered to. It costs about $30.00-$40.00 to do the backgroud check, and it is worth your piece of mind. Good luck
