Don't worry, he will probably get blown up by an IED like a lot of others who never got to see their children born or enjoy a life back in the States with their newlywed wives or families.

Take it from someone who is married to a soldier- if you truly love him, you can make it work!

I hate this kind of spineless propaganda. You have bought into Hollywood's drama and think you are the star of some soap opera. He will have access to phone, email and skype; it's not like the olden days when he would be gone for years at a time with sporadic access to snail mail. Don't build your life around some 'absence makes the heart grow fonder' fantasy. No one really cares about how lonely you will be. Don't lead him on like you are his one and only and he is your one and only. The sooner you try to just live on your own the better. Throw a party when he gets back but don't milk 'your story'. Much Love, an Army Spouse

What is spineless propaganda about the fact that she's going to be missing him? No matter how often she gets to talk to him, or anything else, it's not going to change the fact that he's not there and will be missed!
