I agree, don't tell your kids. They may or may not reach the same conclusion on their own one day. I hope you will consider seeing a professional - perhaps some combination of talk therapy and/or meds can help to lessen the pain that you feel. Dude, no matter how much we think our life sucks we're here for a reason. Just try to always remember that no matter how bad it gets and how much life sucks, you are here doing something that is making a difference in someone's life. Or maybe you are here for one of your kids when they are grown and need something. It's not just about how sucky life is.. it's about being here trying to do what's right while you have the chance. Just keep doing the right thing and it will pay off at some point.
