I acquired 1 std as a teenager and didn't know it. By the time I found out I was told that I couldn't have children either. My almost 3 year old daughter is playing in the next room. Never say never.

It could be worlds worse- I slept with one guy. Who cheated. Who gave me 3 std's.
The man I'm with now knows. Two of the std's were curable. One was not. He knows there's a 75% chance I'm sterile. He believes it's worth the risk. If you are a good person, good things happen.

Well you aren't a "whore" because you had STD's, so don't listen to those comments. It seems a little unfair to him because if knew you couldn't have kids that may have been a factor in his decision on whether or not to marry you. Some men are really set on spreading their DNA. That being said, neither one of you need to be deprived of the benefits of having children- there are other ways (adoption). And, you may as well try to have kids yourself- it can't hurt to try unless you're in an uncomfortable position! Good luck to you.
