I hope your dad wakes up and realizes drugs are screwing up his life.

You should really talk this pout with him. This may be what it takes to make him see he needs to get his self together. believe me i speak from experience i am a recovering addict and I can assure you that while we may be getting high It does not EVER mean we do not love you It just means something bigger than ourselves has control of us at that time. My sons birth was what it took to get myself together. Give Dad a chance Sit and talk to him. I never thought i would stop and here i have 15 years clean now i did drugs from the age of 17 until i was 30 EVERY day ALL DAY. So It is possible but one has to really have incentive and want it. Maybe this is the incentive he needs in life to do it.... YOU

Incentive to get clean? What? Life with your family wasn't a big enough incentive. One event makes no difference to an addict. It's all about them. No one and nothing else matters! Stick with the grandfather. I suspect "he" has earned the right to walk you down the aisle. Congratulations on you wedding.
