you are taking a larger risk than you might be aware of. Though hospitals are places people go to get well its not uncommon for patients to contract or be exposed to viruses simpley because of the concentration of sick people there unless you are going to a private practitioner.

1up. there is a present real time concern over a VA hospitals (florida) possibility of having infected 144 patients with the AIDS and hepatitis because of poor/improper sanitization of endoscopes. The Miami VA Healthcare System will be notifying veterans, by a letter, who had an endoscopic procedure performed between May 2004 and March 12, 2009. Though it isn't IV related the risks are there.

you can shoot up most pain meds that come in pill form. And yes, it feels awesome. Try and get some morphine tablets, they rock! You can actually feel the drug as it reaches each part of your body. All u need is a 1 cc syringe, spoon, tiny cotton ball and water and your ready. I get an erection everytime I start getting my "fix" ready cause I love the feeling.
BTW, I have been an IV drug user for 12yrs. and I am the CFO for a large company here in Dallas. It hasnt ruined my life. I just got a 26.3% raise at work after I released out Q2 earnings statment. Life is good!

Don't do drugs, you'll be throwing your life away. If you donate plasma, you can do it twice a week and get paid and potentially save someone else's life instead of ruining yours.

platelets are white blood cells I believe. They have to "strain" them out of your blood, so it takes a while. They take your blood out, extract the platelets then put it back. Your body will then replace the platelets that were removed.

Learn to give yourself IV's, it is a lot less expensive. Back in the sixties "needle freaks" used to give themselves ice water injections - no drugs just water, they really liked doing it I guess. Personally, I like organic fair trade coffee - $12 a pound more expensive than ice water though.
