I do it a lot too. Sometimes my head runs, I get caught up in my head and blurt out words or sentences without realizing I'm doing it. I get embarrassed and feel like I'm losing my mind even if no one's around, but my therapist tells me it's normal and they do it too.

I do it too! Almost like we have an imaginary friend, you're not crazy. There was a secret similar to this on the other secrets website and there were alot of other people on the message boards saying the same thing.

my coworker said to me once refering to my tendancy to conversate with myselves, "if you didnt have yourself to talk to, who would you talk to?" smart ass anyway - but it's kinda true...

I think its good to talk to yourself. I know it helps me especially when Im in a quantrum. Its like getting your thoughts down on paper. Its great on giving yourself pep talks too.

I've actually smiled at someone smiling on TV.

I once read on a shampoo bottle that people talk to themselves 60% of the time. Seems like a fairly reliable source.

I talk to myself all the time. My children ask me who Im talking to =). Maybe its the only way to have an adult conversation.

I do this too. I think it's a way to organize all the thoughts, to say out loud (even if just to ourselves) our fears and worries. I know I've worked through many a problem by talking to myself.

I hear ya! I was having a fake argument in my head with someone and my hand shot out while I was yelling and my sister said "What are you doing"? lol I said having a fake argument and I'm trying to make my point!!! lolol We all do that.. I think people are strange who don't drift off into thoughts. LOL Then again it could be how people go crazy. They drift in and out of thoughts until one day they just never come back from one....

4 up. stop rubber stamping/cut & pasting the exact same response over and over. you might have put all of your worth into it but its not insightful nor clever.

1up. stop rubber stamping/cut & pasting the exact same response over and over and over and over and over and over. Repetition is not cool.

1up. you fail to see the genius behind 2ups mockery of 6ups rubber stamping/cut & pasting where as the rest of us do.

7up. you are the plagiaristic poster of a secret from a week or so ago about cucumbers ( http://myuntoldsecrets.com/View.aspx?secret=4985 ) that wasn't nearly as humorous nor as witty as the original genius posters secret. ( http://myuntoldsecrets.com/View.aspx?secret=4509 ).

I talk to myself too. I talk to my cats. Sometimes I dont do it out loud, alot of time it is, though. I think its like another poster said, its kind of cathartic and if I am having a problem, I can often talk myself into the resolution. Dont worry, you're not crazy.

My father used to say that you're only crazy if you're waiting for a response

Sorry, but I have to call BS on this post. It's exactly like the one posted last month but not as clever. They're obviously desperate for attention and just want pathetic people like you to respond. Don't waste your time. It's totally a fake.

It's OK to talk to yourself, and it's OK to answer yourself. It's when you turn to yourself and say, "Excuse me, I didn't hear you?" that you need to worry.

2up its not a fake, i was seriously wondering if im weird, but didnt want to ask anyone because theyd make fun of me and call me weird
Remove this stupid comment

When I'm angry I talk about what's bothering me out loud. It helps, but sometimes I feel looney, I wouldn't want anyone to catch me doing it, have had some close calls. And like someone said "You're only crazy if you're waiting for a response"!-S
