That makes no sense.

You could probably find someone that understands. Like another musician.

Can you elaborate? Why does being a musician make it so you can't find true love? My uncle (a musician) has been happily married for something like 40 years.

I am a FULL TIME musician. It's not a 9-5 job. I have had serious relatiionships. All ended badly. It seems that when the novelty of dating a musician wears off, women want to "change me".

Uhmmmmmmm maybe you are so taken by it, it is affecting you, do you at least get to eat?
You don't understand that if all relationships have failed, then you're obviously the problem not the women that walked away in frustration.
You ought to do something, therapy, you have to include love in life.

girls and women are drawn to the boys in the band. Maybe you aren't capable of being faithful to just one

Any woman that truly loves you will stand by you as you do what makes you happy. A relationship does not mean you still are not your own person, it's sharing, respect, and understanding that you are still you.

I'm married to a musician so I know what you mean, its a different lifestyle. My husband does a lot of studio work and so I got an oven with a warming drawer and don't expect him at a certain time. But I don't have a 9-5 job either, I work for myself. When we first met and were friends he said he didn't want a girlfriend. We never really dated in the sense of dinner and movies. After 13 years we got married. If and when you meet the right person you'll have a good relationship.
I've met other musicians who have had bad relationships because there wives/girlfriends think they should be home for dinner and don't get that they work on weekends and late into the night. Also women are attracted to musicians, your girlfriend/wife just can't be jealous.
Thing is I didn't meet my husband at a gig we meet through mutual friends my first impressions was him as a person not a musician.

Who said the walked away in frustration? Why would I need therapy?

Too often this unwillingness to change is really just selfishness. I'm married to a musician and while I totally understand his need to do his thing, he also understands my need for him to act like a grownup. I've not clipped his wings;far from it--I've probably saved his life.

For the most part, you can't support a family as a musician. A musician doing typical gigs is probably not making a ton of money. I'm guessing that's what these women are probably having issues with. Get a sugar momma, or get a real job and jam on the weekend.

Yep, music seems to preclude us from a normal life... I thought I was the only one who felt that way. I keep this quote from fictional show buried deep on my computer:
"I know the empty ring finger. And that obsessive nature of yours, that's a big secret. You don't risk jail and your career to save somebody doesn't want to be saved unless you got something, anything, one thing. The reason normal people got wives and kids and hobbies, whatever, that's because they ain't got that one thing that hits them that hard and that true. I got music. You got
[indicating the hospital] this. The thing you think about all the time. Thing that keeps you south of normal. Yeah, makes us great. Makes us the best. All we miss out on is everything else. No woman waiting at home after work with a drink and a kiss; that ain't gonna happen for us."
Sadly, I think that's how it's going to be for me...

Yeah its common knowledge all musicians are single... NOT!
You are so screwed up - seek therapy.

if someone truly loves you and you are wonderful in other ways, they wouldn't want you to give up your passion.
