You don't need to justify your feelings about something that belongs to you. That money is legally yours. Don't let anybody EVER tell you what to do with it, whom to give it to (if you want), how to invest it or how to spend it and whom to spend it on. It's yours. You decide. no it is not wrong, I don't know my dad, just hear the bad stuff from my mom's side of the family. I feel like I would be better in life had I known my dad. Me and my wife are struggling. If my dad passed away I would love to get some money. I met him once. I found out I have a half sister thats all grown up.
