You can't ruin a relationship based on a lie. If he's telling you he loves you while you sleep, he's afraid. He will be unhappy, in time, with the 4 year relationship he has now if you do not speak up. You're sensitive and kind to not want to hurt anyone but sometimes it's inevitable and for the best. I had a similar situation, Only, I ended up marrying my best friend because I told him I loved him as well. We are divorcing b/c we got married too young and it didnt work, but we are still best friends and i think one day we will reunite, being best friends brings fourth such an irreplaceable love.

I am so grateful that I have a wonderful man in my life and have for over a year. He loves me and my children unconditionally... before I finally met him I had a wonderful man that was my best friend and loved me andmy children as well, I never told him how I felt ... 4 months ago he shot and killed himself. I regret not taking a chance and telling him how I felt
