I never feel like an idiot. I know I'm a great worker and that I could go into a job I knew nothing about and still outperform the rest of the staff within 2 weeks. It's their loss, not mine.
Naturally you don't stroll into an interview and tell them you could do their job better than they can. Unless you're looking for a swift rejection that is.

I write thank-you's. I do follow up. 95% of the time, there is no response back. Amen on the comment. It takes 60 seconds to write a thanks but no thanks e-mail to interviewees
