You have to let him go...you chose to stay with him, despite having feelings for someone else. It is up to him whether or not that's acceptable, and it probably isn't, so at least allow him the dignity of leaving to pursue his own life and find the love he deserves. Then get your head together and sort out your own thoughts/feelings before deciding what to do next. It's the fair thing for all involved.
