Similar thing happened to me. Found out he was cheating and my dog of 15 years died - happened a week apart - still getting over it - still learning that this was all his issues,, not mine.

My life has had several pit falls. I'll not even trouble you with stating them. The one thing I've learned is to start a new project. Sometimes we have to go in a different direction. Hard work sinking myself into a new situation has saved my mental state more than once. The cold hard fact of life is that if you fall and DON'T pick YOURSELF up there's really isn't ANYONE who gives a shit if you lie there and die.
