I check old books out of the library and leave secret notes in them hoping someone will read them.

That's pretty neat. I've found a dollar bill here and there and interesting notes and recipes in books I got from ebay. :)

I love to find scraps and photos in used books. I've never felt so alive with what the world might offer me as when I did in my college library. I met so many interesting people there and I think my heart never left.

I find scraps of paper used for bookmarks and always wonder about the person that left them there. I sometimes leave edits in books that have incorrect information in them - arrows to misaligned sentences that were misprinted - but only in pencil!

A friend of mine bought a very old book in a thrift shop for $1 and found a Confederate $5 bill in it. It isn't really worth a fortune, but he was a collector and was delighted.

I am a bibliophile, I have collected books for many years. I don't purposely look for notes but when I find them it is like finding a key into someone's world. Very exciting.
