Ummmmmm...if he was asleep, how do you know he was having a nightmare? Did he wake up screaming? Did he have frequent nightmares? You simply said "On of the patients died of a heart attack during a nightmare he was having" (I am assuming you meant one, not on).

Okay.. being in hospice/health care I do see where this might be weighing heavy on your mind. (Not so much a secret, but something that makes you lose sleep.) Unless YOU did someting to cause it, neglect, etc.. then know that it was his/her time and continue helping people. Not everyone can do it. You can. Continue doing what we do...

you gave him too much depakote and he died...it happens..get over it and kill the next sad sap! Think of it this way...He didnt die alone as he would have if he commited the big S! LOL
