the person above oblivously doesnt have kids. im a single mom of 5 2 of which are teenagers. i totaly understand where you are comming from and the fact its hard to find some one to babysit. if you have a friend that lives close that you can trust ask her to watch them for a hour or 2 every week and get out for adult converstaion and a coffee even that little time away once a week is a great break trust me

I have the same exact situation. It's ok to take time to yourself, it will make you a better mom. I got family to watch them and went out of town for 2 days. It was just what I needed.

Morons with no kids- the kids are fine and happy and healthy and polite, anyone with even perfect kids needs a break, married or single, it takes a village and if you don't have one you can do it but even with one it is hard as hell for the best parents.

im the mom of 5 that some people have been bashing and as the poster my husband died 3 years ago in iraq so dont tell me i should have chosen better as i had the best man ever and he got shot in the line of duty. if only i could have him back the kids and i would be alot better off . and as for family looking after my kids... i wouldnt know what to do without them as they have been great
