I met a random man online. We've talked everyday for the past 3 months. We have a better connection than my husband of 9 years and I've never even seen his pic.

Be careful....At best, your connection is the result of two people who feel distant in their "real" lives, desparately looking for more. At worst, this could turn into an obssession for someone you do not know, have not seen or met, who could be anyone, and it could come to harm you and your family.

Whenever a fantasy (or anything else) is more fun than real life... you've got a problem. Try putting that energy into fixing or changing your life.

I think its grand. Lots of cool folks can be found on the web. Most people aren't bad people. Just some.

Nothing wrong with that. You have no intention of cheating. Sometimes you just click with someone and the universe has a weird way of getting people in touch. I have a guy friend that I have been chatting to for over a year now. He lives in a different country. He is just a friend that has similar interests and personality. Not a big deal!

Great commentary in the last sentence in the post above mine. Indeed, your friend could be coming from a bottle.

I too found a "friend" online... it turned into a 3 year affair! On and offline! My marriage will never be what it was prior to, and my husband will never forgive me, even though he says he does. It's been years now since the affair ended... 1. My husband still brings it up at least on a weekly basis. 2. I still think about the other person every single day and miss our online chats and friendship the most.

Communicating to a screen is always easier than doing it face to face, hence the high divorce rate, if we were better face to face communicator’s online sites would no exist!!!

To the 6th or 7th poster... you're confusing dreams and goals with misguided desires that stem from unhappiness with a person's life situation and/or choices. Dreams and even fantasies about what could be are great if they are not contrary to what you are living. If they are contrary to your real self then it's time to change something. How can anyone be happy if their real life isn't true to their deepest desires. When you invest in this kind of interaction you are not only disrespecting your partner you are disrespecting yourself and creating inner conflict that can only manifest itself destructively. Ease of conscience and self respect are integral components of sincerity which is the foundation of peace of mind. Learn the difference and then you too will know what I'm talking about.

I see my secret has been misinterpreted. It's not a love connection. It's a connection whereas I can talk more to this person than with my husband. We have more stuff in common and are able to communicate more. There is no love there. I do not secretly fantasize about running off with the knight in shining computer.

You have't seen his pick because he is a burn victim, disfigured and in a wheel chair. If you knew that, you'd change your outlook....of course, wouldn't it be ironic if it was your husband you were talking to? ***Drinkin Pina Coladas...makin love at midnight....

that is why many online relationships or dating site romances suceed, you never see the person face to face until you learned all their likes dislikes, fears, goals etc etc.
