That we still have this sort of thing in our modern society is just sick. Beatings, fist fights, shootings, all over the demise of a relationship? Think of all of the outcomes for the OP of every event described, what sense does this make? If the shoe was on the other foot, and one of you wanted to "dump the b****" as we hear so many times, what would your reaction be if the girl you left beat the crap out of your new GF? Or shot her? This is some lame stuff. Who the hell cares if you can or can't beat up another guy? He pulls a gun it's over anyway.

I'm just wondering, on precisely what basis did you feel you had the right to issue this "challenge"? Did you have an ownership interest in your ex?

My friend, having rage, and holding a grudge, is like drinking poison, hoping your enemy will become sick. I have been there. I know this sickness. Let yourself off the hook. However, in order to to let yourself off the hook you have to let EVERYONE else off also... Ahhh, THERE'S the catch. Blessings, mon ami...
