you hate what your life has become. yet you have the power to change that. If your not in love with your wife anymore, then at least be there for your children.
drop your kids off at friends, or family for a while. then tell your wife how you feel. tell her why you feel this way.

Seriously, get help. You hate what your life has become, but your life is the result of a series of choices you have made. Many of those choices may have been made in bad faith, like you wanting to believe in things your heart didn't feel were true or right. A counselor can help you come to see the weak you (the one who made your life unhappy) and the real you (the one who wants to start over again and make things right.) These two halves of you need to be reconciled so you can move forward, act in good faith and repair some of what's been broken but may be worth saving.
PS: We've all felt like you do at some point...the trick is turning this pain into self power.

Everyone makes choices. How is it that you say that you have had none. Take responsibility for yourself and your decisions. Excuses don't make for shit. 8^ WTF are you talking about? Sure there things in life that happen to you, but ultimately, you control your life. You must be gen X material. "Poor me". Whatever. I was in the same situation and I left her cheating @ss. Now I'm not only remarried to someone great, but I have a good house in an expensive town...couldn't have that before, all because I took control. I think you're just too scared to be alone.
