I honestly wish it was my father. He's never been there for me and on my 18th birthday, he told me his two other daughters were more important to him than i would ever be. My grandfather raised me, he was my daddy growing up. I honestly would not even go to my father's funeral.

I'm sorry your life turned out that way. But don't lower yourself to his level. His lack of compassion illustrates that the hate you carry will be harder on you than it is on him. Observe the situation as it is, accept it, and let it go. He may be obnoxious now but he will reckon with his regrets someday. Don't bank regrets for your future. As hard as it may be for you, wish him well and love him anyway. It will do YOU good.

Hey peps try this one on for size.I was 13 and we had company and one of the sweet ladies saidOH WHAT A SWEET YOUNG MAN my darling mother said THATS NOT MY REAL SON.IT SOME BASTARD THE HOSPITAL GAVE HER BECAUSE HER SWEET CHILD DIED.i am 54 and it still hurts.At 16 she woke me up at midnight and kicked me out of the house.SO I SAY I WISH IT WAS HER THAT DIED AND NOT MY FATHER.if anyone wants to exchange horror stories contact me at chubbyquebecer@yahoo.ca
