How do you know that this person has no pain? - maybe they use the old adage "turn lemons into lemonaid"

Try to stop being so self-centred and self-pitying. You only hurt yourself by being like that, my friend. Try and be positive towards ohers, do good deeds, and those positive feelings will rebound back to you.

Wow. I always notice that most of the comments here are so unhelpful. I can't really comment on your "secret," 'cause I have no idea who you're talking about. Is this a spouse? Sibling? Parent? Friend? What did this person do to you to want them to feel pain? Why do you think they deserve it?

Grow up!! We all have the same opportunities. No one is to blame for your short coming but you!! Good luck with the hate!! It will get you no where.

Your problem is more that you are deluded than a pussy. I used to hate my life so much that every morning I'd drive by an oak tree and think if I just yank the wheel to the left... Then I found out that the ass I worked with was trying to get me fired because he was jealous of my "perfect" life. Just because you don't see it doesn't mean other peoples' lives don't suck. If they say otherwise, they are in a tiny minority or total posers.

I know how you feel too. It's nice, but useless, that most of the posters think you're selfish, and that you can stop feeling negativity just like that. Some people don't know the meaning of struggle, and take for granted all the things they have-like rent money, or family support, or enough food to eat. I'd like them to know how it is without these things, so they would be more appreciative and not take them for granted.

My ex wife was like this. A co worker of hers married an orthodontist and my wife hated her guts because she was married to such a hugh wage earner. The woman became pregnant and during the shower my wife made a scene something about the woman living such a perfect life and I got so embarassed I divorced her. I found out later she had been visiting her ex boyfriend anyway so I'm better off without her.

Just because you don't see it, it doesn't mean it hasn't happened. Look at Bill Cosby, would you have wished his son to die on a dark road?

What did this successful person do to you that you hate them so much that you want them to suffer hardship and pain? I hope it's someone who did you wrong at least, and not a friend or relative that simply has a more satisfying life. That would be very disturbing. Please respond.

You cannot compare yourself to others and be happy. Somehow, you have to stop thinking about what others have and trust in the power of balance. Usually, people who don't work for things in life never know the joy of feeling worth all that they have. Often, they feel they have even less than you do! Look at your life and exist there. F*** everyone else-you don't know what their lives are really like, anyway.

Perhaps instead of wishing ill on others good fortune, maybe you should confront that person and take some notes and constructive criticism. If you learn how to be successful from an already successful person, then you are doing yourself justice.

Wishing bad on others is just wrong. Maybe you should learn from this person and you won't be so negative. One of the 10 comandments is "do not envy your neighbor" and that is just what you are doing so shame on you!

i know the feeling. I've always tried to be kind and go out of my way to help others, and i have nothing to show for it. I'm broke and struggling badly. My sister is a selfish beast of a person (she abandoned her three children, stole from our parents/grandparents, and has generally f*cked over everyone in her path. She recently married some rich prick and has everything she could ever want. Did i mention that her kids are still with my sick, poor mother
