no one's worth scars dear. glad you got out of it. I know the feeling tho, I never cut myself but it takes me a LONG time to get over girls I've dated. 3 years for the first breakup, going on 9 months for the last one now too. Just learn to love yourself first, then choose the right people to allow in.

I don't think she cut herself to leave him. I think she was cutting herself because of what he was doing to her on a daily basis and that he never cared enough to notice the scars or cuts. Who knows what he did to her. I think she finally broke & showed him what she was doing to herself all because of what he was doing to her. Then I think she wised up that just because he showed he cared at that moment didn't mean he would care the next so she got help & left him for her own good. Not like she fell out of love for him, but more like she finally saw he never really loved her in the first place. Doesn't mean that it didn't take her a long time to get over him, even though he was abusive in many ways to her. We don't know what he did to her to judge her secret. You should be ashamed for judging someone who has gone through what seems alot. Why do all men tend to stick together even when they clearly know they are in the wrong??? Oh well...you did good girl for leaving him & getting proper help!
