Me too! They are wonderful, playful, loving dogs. All Labs seem to want to do is give and receive love. I'll always miss mine and I'm sorry for your loss.

Pets are the true angels on earth.

People can learn how to be people from the dogs we live with.

My 14-and-a-half-year-old brown Lab passed away on January 29, 2008 and I miss him every day. It's Christmas Day and it's just not the same with him playing with boxes and wrapping paper. He had a long life but man, do I ever miss him

Get a new pup and love him the same, there are too many owners that dont. You are obviously a good owner and a wonderful friend to your animals. Pets die, its a fact of life but if they have had a GREAT life then it makes it a lot easier. Your dog obviously had a great life.

Why is it that animals break our hearts more than people do.

I didn't cry at all at my mother's funeral, but I cried like a pu**y when we had to put our beagle down.

I'm sorry you lost your friend. There is a reason that "dog" is "god" spelled backwards.

My parent's had a lab,she was 18 year's old, when we had to make that HARD decision to have her put down, but we had her cremated.she went down with my father.I also have a dog,she is a spitz, and she also has a medical condition[seizure's]i had her for 8 year's now,my husband son had her for 1 year and abused her,so that is why she has seizure's.I no someday i will have to face it to,and i dont want to.your pet's become your KID'S.We also will do the ame with her,she will go down with us,we already have a funeral marker already done and her name is on it with a spitz's laying down. She is my world.I look forward to her everyday.God bless you honey,my heart go's out to you.And i am so sorry to hear of your lose.

Americans are way too obsessed with their animals. Make more HUMAN connections and your world won't come crashing down when they die so soon.

to the fool who said i was way to obsessed with an animal .do you have any idea what its like to get something when its 8 weeks old and have it for 21 years. yes she was my baby and i do love her and always will. she can never be replaced. she was not an animal . she was my family. god willing you will never lose something you loved for 21 years.

Try fostering dogs for a reputable rescue, that way you can give back some of the love you were given, and every dog you save is a tribute in memory of the one you lost

I know exactly how you feel. I lost my angel last year after 20 wonderful years with her. I got a tattoo in her memory and have her ashes on my bedside. Life will never be the same without her...
