I had a similar time in my life, I went from 5 to 16 without my dad. He was so happy to hear from me. We are now very close. I wish you luck my friend.

I hope he welcomes you, sounds like you could use a parent in your life. If it doesn't work out, seek out an adult you like and can relate to. An adult figure can be just as loving and supportive as a parent. Keep TRYING to connect, to someone.. GOOD luck!

Sounds like a typical case of PARENTAL ALIENATION. I went through that. Believed all the baloney the other parental unit said about my Dad. I read this book "Divorce Poison" and realized I'd been lied to all my life. Feels good to see my Dad again.
