According to what I was told by a minister in the hospital after having a heart attack . God lets people endure sorrows and pain to test our faith in him. And I still have a hard time understanding why things happen. I sometimes wonder if God cares at all but I never Question that he exists.

Do we really have free will in a world that is largely controlled by a few ruling elite? Sure we can think for ourselves until someone comes in with something to control our minds. Sure we can work toward a different outcome but if that outcome goes against what the ruling elite want then odes it every fully come to fruition? Do we really have free will right now or are we just slaves/ And does religion promoting the idea that we have free will all the damn time make it really so? religious ppl are the most mind controlled of all.
