Why come out and be ostrisized by society? Society is not as understanding as it pretends to be. There is perception and there is reality. Had a gay brother in my family. We loved him, he was smart, funny, masculine and quite successful. Still, in the family, with it rarely being spoken, he was "different". You need to be careful and make sure your primary position is not just a political one.
