he had a right to know - it was his child too even if ultimately your choice - which btw i do believe. But realize your choices have consequences. that might have been your one and only chance to have a child. Also it has only been a week, may not have set in yet - you may find yourself really hurting emotionally over this and if you do I hope you can find a way to process it so that it does not do you further damage.

I am pro-choice, and I do believe that it may have been the right thing to do, but when my brother's gf recently aborted his baby, I was stunned by the nearly debilitating sadness I felt at the loss of that child. It doesn't just affect one person. Maybe it's better he didn't know. :(

The vast majority of the "slightly older children" available for adoption have serious medical issues that average people can't handle. In my state, just about every single child in foster care is disabled, some so severely that they're hooked up to machines. It would be wonderful to adopt these children but many, including me, just can't stay home with them to care for them. So it is impossible to adopt them. Others are really mentally and emotionally messed up because of their background. It's not like you can go out and adopt an older, well-adjusted child. That's why they're in foster care. I personally know two people who adopted older children and they made their lives hell because of their emotional issues. I feel very sorry for these children but there's a reason they stay in foster care and aren't adopted. And women should think about what a "major physical and emotional commitment" giving birth is before they open their legs, not after.There's no way to rationalize it -abortion is murder. If you're irresponsible enough to get knocked up, at least give the kid the nine months it needs to be able to have a life. Anything else is incredibly selfish and incredibly wrong.

alrighty guys, sure ima be called a whore. there are plenty of new born adoptions. i did it. i was 16 and pregnant, the family thinks im an angel for blessing them with a healthy little boy,people who can not have children would be willing to take a baby with or without drug issues in the mother, they pay alot for this, and would not mind paying for medical for a child. the bouncing in foster homes was decades ago its not how it goes any more. its called open adoption, i can still visit with the child i gave birth to. abortion is selfish. p.s. i graduated high school and college, im a master photographer and living a great life with children i was more prepared for. i understand if you feel guilty that you will not give a child a good life, so let someone else who wants to do it until you feel you are responsible enough for children.

I had an abortiono when I was in my early 30's. I have never regretted it even for one day. I was not even a month pregnant. I had an IUD that failed. I believe women should have a choice. But take every precaution you can to not get pregnant.

The reason there is abortion, and rightly so, is because there are too many young women who cannot afford or are unprepared to raise children. You say they then should not have sex. That is easy to say when you are raised in functional family. Maybe drugs are a problem. If the government would be serious about drug control they would send the military to the mexican border instead of the Middle East. But since the U.S. already controls the Western Hemispere that is not practical to the government. Then we hear people say they should put the kid up for adoption. What, so it can bounce around in foster care for 18 years? High browed people talk alot of moral shit, but never step up and take responsibility themselves and adopt a child so society can slow abortion down. I know first hand because I was once a foster parent. I saw it all the time.

If this child were healthy and white, it would have had an adopted home lined up before it was even born, as would any white baby. There are thousands of couple DYING to have a baby but can't and would give a baby a great life, but instead selfish whores like the OP abort them because they can't be bothered giving birth. Yea, maybe the OP is black, and maybe the baby wouldn't have been born healthy. But chances are the OP is white and the baby would have been born healthy and he or she would have gone off to loving parents who would have provided a great life for the kid.
