30 years old is way too soon to leave this world. And for a 7 year old son, it must have been a horrible hurt that is still with you. Ask questions about your dad to those who knew and loved him the most. People that loved him before he passes will welcome the chance to help you know him better. What a hurtful secret. Thank you for sharing it with our community.

It is a hard time, I lost my dad when I was 15. There was so many things I had to learn for myself. I still miss miss him every day. I'm 44, and will always wonder if I would have made him proud by the man I have turned out to be. I think so.

I LOST MY MOTHER (THE PERSON THAT GAVE BIRTH TO ME)6 MONTHS AGO.STILL CAN NOT CRY.I AM 54 AND I CAN NOT THINK OF ANYTHING GOOD ABOUT HER.

Did your birth mother raise you ?Your comment sounds kinda like she didn't.About the crying.. Many people don't cry...even when a loved one dies. I've never understood this but it is so. But if you can't think of anything good about her..just let her memory go and go on with your life. Hopefully when it's your turn to pass, you will have shared, cared and contributed to other peoples lives. I miss people and do cry when they pass if they were good. If they weren't, I don't feel a need to cry. I think that's normal. We can't or shouldn't FAKE our feelings.

OP, this is so sad. So you lost your Dad and your Mom. You sure have a lot of hurt in your heart. Hope you will find someone to love you unconditionally to help make up for all the pain you have endured. And when you have kids, please break that sad cycle and tell them how much you love them and hug them. We never know how much time we have on this earth and kids need to know they are loved. I am sending a hug to you. XXXXXXXX

Children will sometimes take this loss out on their surviving parent, it is possible your mother could not deal with her loss and the emotional needs of your self at the time and it just became a wedge between the two of you. My child was left without a dad at the age of three. All they want is their dad or a new dad. It is a difficult loss please get help, there is a time to grieve and then there is a time to move on finish healing.

OP, You are not the orginal poster. I am. My father was killed by my mother when I was a young child. It has left a hole in our relationship that really can never be changed. I try to love her but it is hard.
