If it helps, no matter how you hurt the person, he or she had much more going on if he/she could take that kind of action. Kind of like someone having terminal cancer and you are the caretaker, but you get tired. Suddenly the person decompensates and you feel badly, but did you cause it? No. Depression should be thought of as an illness that is terminal in 15% of the cases. For people who commit suicide, it was just too far advanced to save them.

Our failed relationship- caused his already depressed state- to take over and become overwhelming and he couldn't take the pain of the loss and other things that followed it. I can't let this go and feel sick every day now.The guilt is sending me down the same path as his - I feel sometimes.
