OP here: My children in a diff state, 2300 miles away. Good mom to her kids, no idea on "M", court appointee says M is good to my kids. All around messed up situation. Letting them continue on in a happy home, but never forgetting them through emails to a blank account, cards addressed to me for them, and a bank account for later on.
