I have been in your shoes, except my mother did not hit me. But my husband and I went through a difficult time, and she took his side, tried getting him to leave me, told him he needs to find someone else etc. If your mom is this way, it may not change, and it sucks but it may be best to just let her be and let yourself be happy. Do not sacrifice your happiness because she wants you to be unhappy.
